What is the new biological me?

Personal project
Digital
2021

Concept
Nowadays, because of reduction in data generation costs and the development of analytical techniques, we can find increasingly more genetic data online. It is obviously true that these technological developments have contributed to the improvements of medical treatment, however, various ethical and political issues and conflicts can arise, such as genetic discrimination, insurance refusals and inability to work due to unfitting DNA data.Through this research, I am trying to understand the relationship between genes and society and perform visualization of our biological body in the digital world. I realized that the code is one of the ways to explain our biological body, however, I reckon that it is not enough to be able to define what a human is in their whole sense, since we do not have a complete scientific understanding of certain aspects of our body like the mind and consciousness, and perhaps, there are things that aren't meant to be understood by science.

Furthermore, there are more questions about our future life on this topic. If we look at a human body through a computer webcam, can we say that we saw our biological self or is it a digital representation of us? Also, is digital biology the next step for human evolution? Can we just upload ourselves into the web? If we can understand everything that is happening in the brain, and see it as a mere biological algorithm, what stops us from duplicating these algorithms digitally?
